Plant one or two bitter ball seeds per inch 1/4- to 1/2-inch deep in rich, soil in full sun. Keep the seeds moist but not soaked and they should germinate in 10 to 21 days at a temperature of 70 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit.It takes about 85 days. These are pure white, flat and deeply ribbed; the flesh is mild and tasty.
Fruits Typically in Africa, the garden egg which come in two color: white and green, is chopped, cooked and mixed into a variety of vegetable, meat, or fish stews and sauces. Although bitter taste is a major characteristic, many African eggplants are sweet or bland, especially in the immature stages in which they are eaten.
